How Can We Help?
If you want to take courses that are not in the approved MSLE elective list, you must email MSLE-help@cmu.edu with the following details:
- Course Number and Title
- Fulfillment request: Technology, Learning Sciences Theory & Instructional Design, Methods & Design or General Elective
- Course Description
- Course Syllabus (if available)
- The reason you want to take this course, including how it relates to learning engineering and your career plan
We will review the request with the Program Director and notify you of the decision. Please note that electives taken without prior approval will not count towards your degree.
Graduation Requirements to Keep in Mind:
- You must fulfill your distribution requirement for your electives
- All courses must be at the graduate level (600-level or above to count towards your degree)
- 6-unit courses count as half of a course. 9-unit or more courses count as a full course
- Taking undergraduate courses will not count towards your degree
